That it was on the water way across from the dive shop and we could sit on our balcony and watch the boats going out every day. The people were very friendly. Every thing was close by and we could walk to a great restaurant. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was very quiet.
We didn't like that the large ceiling fans were very dirty so couldn't turn them on. Plus our door had a large gap in the bottom of it which required us to stuff a towel in it at night.
The location was amazing, all rooms had waterside balconies it was gorgeous. Irs inexpensive so no frills but the facilities were more than pleasing, two bathrooms and two floors, unexpected but so welcoming. Laid back setting&I thoroughly recommends hobos cafe for dinner, wonderful steak&seafood with an unmistakably homemade Key Lime Pie!
Absolutely nothing to say, I would stay there again.
It was very spacious - nice to have two bathrooms and a balcony overlooking the boats and water.
The hotel had no record of my booking when I arrived which was a nuisance since it was very hot. Because we had booked in for 4 nights they allocated us a room. The safe jammed in the room and it took them 24 hours to get it open. They then tried to charge me for tax when the Booked.net invoice specifically said my price included the tax. Not overly impressed.
Great value for money! A small home - kitchen, 2 bathrooms, separate upstairs bedroom, a terasse. The furniture was new - in the 1980's but everything worked fine. The snorkeling tours to The reef takes of right from the hotel so we ended up staying another night and went to Hobos restaurant - don't miss that one. Hobos is a bar and does not look like a place that serves great food but don't get fooled by that. Their food was really good and like the hotel and amazing value for money.
Motel like, old furniture
Screen enclosed balcony. It was nice to sit outside and watch the boats come and go without pesty bugs bothering you.
the size of the unit was great, gave us privacy in upstairs bedroom, while the kids were on the pull out couch. Two full bathrooms a plus. screened in porch was nice.
While the office staff was friendly, the office smelled of smoke. The rooms did not. The kitchen had a coffee maker with no coffee pot, Microwave but no mugs to boil water, no flatware. Also they provided us with a Dove deodorant sample, but no soap or shampoo ( we did bring our own)
It was on the main road therefore easy to find. The restaurant behind the hotel was really convenient as we did not have to drive anywhere to eat at night.
Location. We were there to do a reef snorkel. The Sundiver boat left from the rear of the hotel. Compared to the other boats, Sundiver was first to the reef and the last to leave. Had great equipment, too. Restaurants in the area not to miss are the Fish House and especially Mrs. Macs. What food! Room had full kitchen, cold ac. My wife's friend was with us and she said the sleeper sofa was very comfortable.
A few things need minor improvement. The upstairs bathroom faucet was broken and would only give cold water. Maintenance man off on weekends, so it wasn't fixed. They offered to move us to another room, but by then we were fully unpacked. We had a room for 4 people, but only 3 towels. The cable box on the upstairs tv had no power supply connected. They had to find one, which they did. The ac thermostat read 92 degrees, so it was broken. Apparently no one at the hotel notices these things when cleaning is done. Especially the broken faucet the maid should see easily. We were in Room 119.
mhh not to much actually the bed and sheets were dirty and the shower upstairs sucked. I was happy to leave the Key Largo West Inn after one night.
The sheets on our beds were dirty and the shower upstairs sucked. Was happy to leave this place after one night. I paid 180 bucks for one night and this was a rip off!
This place would be perfect for a family. Very roomy, great price and family friendly.
For anyone with a handicap think twice about this place. It was completely my own fault for not asking. I just presumed when it said two floors that the first floor would be at ground level. It was not as the hotel is elevated. There is no elevator so I had to use the ramp which was a bit of a distance to the room and it also had steep steps up to the second floor. As I use oxygen this was an issue for me. Please let me be clear that this is not a complaint, just a warning to anyone who might be handicapped.
The property was like having your own house as there was a bedroom upstairs with en-suite bathroom, and then a large sofa bed downstairs with another bathroom and large kitchen/diner. The kitchen had everything you needed, including a large fridge/freezer. The views over the marina were amazing. I was surprised we had a swimming pool which again looked over the baots on the marina. Plenty of free parking and helpful reception staff. Only wish I had booked more than one night!
I would recommend you have a car as you need to drive to most things.
snorkle trip from hotel was nice no driving
Clean, well maintained, good price for the Keys, great location for Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Fishing boats,
All rooms are one flight up, parking below.
We have stayed 4 person in one uint, we found: -The receptionist was a very nice person, kind, poilite and friendly. -The price was reasonable - The kitchen facilities was very good and my family like it a lot - nearby has everything we need
